A Century of Craft

Est. Bologna, 1919

A Century of Craft

Founded by Giuseppe Zanini in Bologna, Ancora has spent over a century perfecting the art of the writing instrument. Each pen is an heirloom — shaped by hand, finished with an 18-karat gold nib crafted entirely in-house, and built to last a lifetime.

Every Ancora pen bears the mark of Italian heritage — where tradition and precision meet in every stroke.

Truly a elegant addition

Ordered after months of looking and the surface catches light beautifully on my office desk. Brilliant from clip to tip.

Pleased with the crisp purchase

Wanted to upgrade from my plastic pen and it glides across paper without any drag whatsoever. Could happily own a dozen.

My new favourite desk addition

Bought this for my husband and the section sits under my fingers during long emails. Genuinely a small daily luxury.

Splendid little purchase

Ordered for my mother's birthday and ink dries fast enough that I close pages immediately. Lives on my desk and travels.

Timeless build, rich finish

Picked it for a thirtieth birthday and the engraving caught my eye the moment it arrived. Customer service was lovely throughout.
