The Big Five Collection
The Big Five Collection was conceived as a tribute to one of the most revered achievements in the world of hunting — the pursuit of the legendary animals of Africa known as the Big Five: Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard, Lion, and Rhino.
In the tradition of great hunters, completing the Big Five represents the ultimate distinction, attained only by those whose dedication, patience, and mastery allow them to claim the most prestigious trophies of the African wilderness.
Inspired by this extraordinary accomplishment, this collection was created for collectors who appreciate rarity, craftsmanship, and symbolism.
Each writing instrument is meticulously crafted using gold plating, intricate engraving, and hand-applied enamel, reflecting both the strength and elegance of these iconic animals. Every pen is dedicated to one of the five legendary creatures that define the Big Five.
The result is a series of writing instruments as rare and remarkable as the individuals who possess them.
Only five pens have been created worldwide
One representing each of the legendary animals:
Elephant · Buffalo · Leopard · Lion · Rhino
A true collector’s piece, this series stands as a tribute to achievement, heritage, and the timeless art of fine craftsmanship.

Founded by Giuseppe Zanini in Bologna, Ancora has spent over a century perfecting the art of the writing instrument. Each pen is an heirloom — shaped by hand, finished with an 18-karat gold nib crafted entirely in-house, and built to last a lifetime.
Every Ancora pen bears the mark of Italian heritage — where tradition and precision meet in every stroke.
